STARR LIMITED EDITION HISTORIC BANJOS

Starr Limited Edition Banjos are classic, no-frills instruments that are designed and built by Charles Starr Ogsbury the founder and designer of UTE, ODE, Baldwin-ODE, and OME Banjos. These instruments have evolved over the last 65 years to give superior tone, superb playability, unfailing quality, and lasting beauty. They are all you will ever need in a open-back 5-string banjo. The Pot and neck of these banjos are made of select, well seasoned curly maple, hand finished and stained to a rich golden brown to bring out the full beauty of the exceptional woods used. Genuine Ebony and rosewood are used for the Fingerboard, Peghead Overlay, and Heel Cap, and colorful Abalone shell is used for inlays in the fingerboard and peghead. The Starr Tone-Rim is made of multiply maple and is combined with 24 brass rim brackets to maximize tone and response. This construction eliminates the need for a separate metallic tone ring and maximizes the tonal qualities of the wood to give a warm, woody, and brilliant response. Aged solid brass hardware, Renaissance head, K&H precision Planetary Tuners , Amber knobs, Two-way truss rod, D’Addario strings, and Heavy ProTour Faux Leather Gig bag are standard. Starr Banjos are hand-built by Ogsbury and the senior OME staff in Gold Hill, Colorado at 8,300 feet elevation. Production on these banjos is limited and all instruments are signed by Charles Starr Ogsbury.
