ONE OF A KIND STARR OPEN BACK BANJOS
The STARR Open-Back Banjos presented here, are “One-of-a-Kind” instruments made in Gold Hill, Colorado. Most of these banjos were started decades ago by Gibson in Montana as Mastertone banjos, but they were never finished until this year by myself and the original OME staff in Gold Hill. We finished them as Open-Back instruments with a variety of tone rings, and neck widths. All these banjos have a 26 1/4″ scale. Side Frailing Scoop, Select Curly Maple, Walnut, Ebony, or Rosewood woods, Abalone shell inlays, K&H Planetary tuners with Amber knobs, 11″ x 9/16″ thick Maple rim, 24 brass Brackets, Renaissance head, wood armrest and dowel stick, D’Addario Strings, Dotson Bridge, Aged brass or nickel hardware, No-knot tailpiece, and a heavily padded Faux Leather Gig bag. More information is available for any instrument on request.
